Terms of Service

Last updated October 16, 2026

The rules for using Clux, written to be read. Your code stays yours, your model provider stays yours, and you can leave whenever you like.

Draft template. Fill in the highlighted fields and have it reviewed by a lawyer before you publish it.

Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and [Company legal name] ("Clux", "we", "us") for your use of the Clux website, apps and cloud workspaces (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you use Clux for an organisation, you confirm you can accept these terms on its behalf.

Your account

You must be at least 16 and give accurate account details. You are responsible for everything done through your account, including by agents you run, so keep your sign-in and keys safe and tell us promptly about any unauthorised use.

The Service

Clux gives each project a cloud machine with an editor, terminal, ports and agent sessions. Workspaces may sleep when idle and wake when you open them. We keep improving the Service and may change or remove features; if a change significantly reduces what you pay for, we will tell you in advance.

Your code and content

You own the code, files and other content you bring to or create in Clux. You give us permission to host, copy, run and display it only as needed to provide the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of agent output created in your workspaces.

Your model provider

Clux is not a model provider. You connect your own provider keys, and your use of each provider is governed by your agreement with them, including their fees and usage policies. AI agents can make mistakes, so review their changes before you merge, deploy or rely on them.

Acceptable use

Do not use Clux to:

  • break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
  • build or run malware, phishing pages or attacks on other systems;
  • mine cryptocurrency or run workloads unrelated to software development;
  • get around usage limits, or resell the Service without our written permission;
  • access other customers' workspaces or data.

You are responsible for anything you expose through a public port.

Fees

Some features are free and others are paid. Paid usage is billed as described in the app at the time you use it, plus any applicable taxes. We will give you notice before price changes take effect. Model usage is billed by your provider, not by us.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using Clux and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the Service or others at risk; where reasonable we will warn you first and give you [30] days to export your data.

Third-party services

Clux connects to services such as Git providers, model providers, MCP servers and plugins. We are not responsible for those services, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Clux is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or [USD 100].

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use Clux after that means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], and disputes go to the courts of [city, country], unless the law where you live gives you other rights.
